Invisalign vs. Braces

<< back

Having nice looking, straight teeth is a great thing, and all ages can enjoy the benefits of straight teeth.

There are many techniques to make a person’s teeth straighter. Two of the best are braces, and Invisalign.

Both braces and Invisalign can do an excellent job of improving someone’s smile.  They both have positive features and negative features.

The main differences are that Invisalign aligners are removable while braces are not.  This makes cleaning and eating very easy with Invisalign since it can be removed for these times. The down side of Invisalign is that it must be worn at all times except for eating and brushing, so the person must be committed to putting their aligners back in after eating and brushing.  If a patient does not feel they can commit to putting their Invisalign in and out, then braces are still a great alternative.

Invisalign aligners are very comfortable and easy to wear.  Most people love them.  They are easy to work with and maintain, and work about the same speed as braces.  Best of all, we do not charge any more for Invisalign as compared to braces.

Invisalign may not be able to fix everyone’s teeth, due to the complexity of a person’s crowding etc., but if you would like to find out if it could work for you, we welcome you to ask any of our dental team.
